Acanthus — Micro-Sculpture & Ornamental Development

Acanthus is a collection based on full-surface micro-sculpture, developed around the recurring motif of the acanthus leaf.

The pattern is applied across the entire object, creating a continuous ornamental structure.

Each piece is initially sculpted in wax, then produced through lost-wax casting and finished by hand. Surface treatment combines polished and darkened areas to enhance depth and contrast.

The collection was originally developed for the opening of the Milan flagship (2013/14) and became a central reference within the ELL Milano project.

Variations include different materials and stone settings, such as the faceted onyx version developed specifically for the design.

The work focuses on translating classical ornamental language into a sculptural and material-driven system.
